144 years of the Tarnovo Constitution

Today is the 144th anniversary of the adoption of the Tarnovo Constitution, reports BGNES.

On today's date, 16 April 1879, the Constituent National Assembly adopted the first Constitution of the Principality of Bulgaria after our liberation from Turkish rule. It became the legislative basis for the social and economic development of the newly liberated state. /BGNES
