"Trend": 60% of Bulgarians believe that the education system does not prepare young people well for work

60% of the Bulgarian society thinks that the education system does not prepare young people well enough to find a job easily, and 25% of people think that the education system does. This is what Evelina Slavkova from Trend said during a round table "Jobs for the young, young people at work". She presented data from a sociological survey conducted by the agency in the period 28-5 March 2023 through 1004 effective interviews with respondents over 18, reports BGNES reporter.

Slavkova explained that according to 75% of people, young people cannot find a job because of low pay, 51% believe this is due to poor conditions from employers, 50% of respondents indicated a lack of jobs, and 48% indicated a lack of experience.

In terms of whether the state should find jobs for young people - 42% believe that the state is obliged to find them a job and 51% believe that finding a job is the personal responsibility of young people. / BGNES
