At least two people killed in massive flooding on the southern Black Sea coast

Massive floods hit the town of Tsarevo and the Southern Black Sea coast. Numerous campsites, caravans and cars were swept out to sea after 14-hour floods.
A man and a woman died after the floods in Tsarevo, the town's mayor Georgi Lapchev said. Two more people are being sought. A partial state of disaster has been declared in Tsarevo because of the floods.
In the camping "Nestinarka" many of the ground floors of the buildings are flooded.
The water level has reached two metres at Arapya campsite.
Earlier a search was launched for three people swept away by tidal waves. It became clear that two of the missing were a woman and her child who were swept away together with their car on a collapsed bridge.

A man who was also swept away by a tidal wave - he initially held on to a car but was unable to hold on until help arrived, witnesses said.

Many roads remain closed at the moment, the main ones being Sozopol - Primorsko and Primorsko - Tsarevo.

Completely cut off are Ahtopol, Varvara, Sinemorets and Rezovo. In Rezovo 20 children from Plovdiv are stranded who were in a tent camp. They are fine. A bus has been organised to evacuate them, but it cannot get there yet. Action has been taken to drain the Hadzhi Yane dam, and the Poturnashki dam is being monitored. There is no danger of an accident or dam breakage.

Tsarevo Municipality has also started a campaign to recruit volunteers for the reconstruction after the flood./BGNES
