Boyko Borissov called for a coalition between the major parties

"The purpose of the elections is to elect a government, this is the purpose of democracy. The only thing this National Assembly should elect is a regular government," GERB leader Boyko Borissov said.

He stressed that a new election would be a risk for parliamentary democracy and the republic.

I appeal to the leaders of the parties: during the campaign draw dividing lines, because otherwise there will be only one party. But after the elections - in the democratic world, if one party is not enough to get 121 MPs - coalitions are made. Our partners are the parties that support Ukraine, joining the euro area and Schengen.

"The most stable government, which would reassure both business and the people, is a coalition between the major parties. A regular, stable government with the direction of Europe and NATO - these are the important things," Borissov said.

He promised to personally lead the negotiations with the other parties. /BGNES
