Cultural center "Ivan Mihailov" Bitola sent a letter to Pendarovski asking for respect for Bulgarians' rights

The cultural center "Ivan Mihailov" situated in Bitola sent a letter, on behalf of its chairman Lupcho Georgievski, to the Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski with a demand for "freedom and justice for the Bulgarian people" who live in North Macedonia, reports BGNES.

The main demands in the letter are to stop telling the European allies that the Macedonian Bulgarians are "fascists", to stop the creation of "fake Bulgarian associations", to stop "corrupting individual public figures in Sofia", to stop "the beatings of the Macedonian Bulgarians, the firing from jobs, the arson and shooting at Bulgarian clubs, the exoneration of the offenders, the banning of Bulgarian associations, the hate speech, the desecration of monuments and falsification of Bulgarian history".

In the letter, the representatives of the centre write that this is the demand of all 27 member states of the European Union: "The problem is now EUROPEAN. Nothing can abolish the fact that there is a Bulgarian issue in North Macedonia that can only be solved with the instruments of democracy and the rule of law. Our incorporation into the Constitution of North Macedionia is not a privilege, but a right."

The centre expects to be invited to be heard in Skopje, as it was invited and heard in the European Commission in Brussels.

The cultural center "Ivan Mihailov" in Bitola, with Lupcho Georgievski as its chairman, is making four requests to President Stevo Pendarovski:

1./ When commenting publicly on the problem, do not play with the term "minority" because we are not a minority and in a future unfalsified census of the Macedonian population this restrictive status could be applied to those you would not wish.

2./ Do not persuade the European allies that the Macedonian Bulgarians are "fascists". They already know that BY EMBRACING VUCIC, YOU EMBRACE PUTIN who uses the same accusations of "fascism" against the victims of his aggression.

3./ Ask your security services not to spend taxpayers' money in waste to create fake Bulgarian associations to allegedly represent us. The year is 2023, not 1945.

4./ Do not count on being able to discourage us by corrupting individual public figures in Sofia. In Bulgaria, we have BROTHERS, BUT NO MASTERS. Our struggle is OUR struggle...until the Dawn of Freedom rises./BGNES
