Jean Marc Nava: Bulgaria has a good environment for digital work

Bulgaria has a good environment for digital work, low taxes and fast internet, said Jean Marc Nava, a digital nomad, web designer and street photographer, in the English-language morning block of BGNES.

"I spent a year in France and a year in England and then here. Bulgaria is very good for digital work, it has fast internet and low taxes," he said.

"The hardest part in digital work is trust. You have to build trust with people. In Bulgaria many people use the internet, smartphones, etc., even elderly people. This is good for my job," he added.

Jean Marc is also a street photographer, or as he calls himself "an observer of moments in life".

"I'm not a street photographer, I'm an observer of moments in life. You don't see the same things every day, I like to capture the little details of life."

"My love for photography started 10 years ago. I like street photography because it is more real. It's not good for a career, you do it for yourself. The best part is taking a picture 10 seconds before you get 'caught'. When people know they are in front of the camera, they are not real. If the person doesn't like the photo, I delete it of course," said Jean Marc.

Jean Marc added his impressions of Bulgaria.

"I have a lot of friends here. I found a lot of humanity here, it's not the same in Italy. I really like Sofia. There are a lot of parks here, I like that, we don't have that in the Apennines. We have one or two big parks and here they are everywhere."

"I love Bulgaria, I love the people, there is so much potential," he concluded. /BGNES
