Macedonia's most powerful man Orce Kamchev blacklisted by US

One of North Macedonia's most famous and richest businessmen, Orce Kamchev, has been blacklisted by the US, reports BGNES.

Kamchev has been sanctioned by the US Treasury Department for corruption, money laundering, bribery and endangering the security of the Western Balkans.

Orce Kamchev, during the authoritarian regime of Nikola Gruevski, was the most powerful and influential businessman, including in the media, where he owned powerful publishing houses, including those for propaganda against Bulgaria.

Together with Gruevski's cousin, Sasho Miyalkov, head of Macedonia's counter-intelligence, they were considered absolute masters in every aspect of the country. As is known, Nikola Gruevski has been in hiding in Hungary for almost 5 years, and his party VMRO-DPMNE is today considered the main instrument of Serbian influence and Russian propaganda in the RSM. /BGNES
